INVESTITURE CEREMONY 2010
The Investiture Ceremony for the office bearers of DBL was conducted on the 4 of May 2010. The ceremony commenced with a prayer by Rev. Fr. Joseph Pathickal. Thereafter, the school office bearers, namely the Prefect, the Vice-Prefect, the Captains and the Vice-Captains of the four houses were called up on stage and introduced.
The Prefect and the Captains of the four houses bore their respective flags while standing on the stage. This was a moment of great pride and honour.
The Lamp was lit by the principal and the school office bearers offering their prayers and aspirations to God. After this, the school Prefect was administered the oath of office by the Fr. Rector. Thereafter, the monitors, sub-monitors, captains and vice-captains of every class were asked to stand up, raise their right hand forward and take the oath, thereby promising to fulfill the responsibilities entrusted to them in faith with utmost sincerity and dedication.
The prefect and vice-prefect, captains and vice-captains representing the school as well as the monitors and sub-monitors of every class were then given their badges by both Fr. Pathickal and Br. Jose. This was followed by prayers and hymns asking God to bless and help the office bearers in their work. The Investiture Ceremony was then concluded with the School Anthem. The Investiture Ceremony was organized by the LTS members of DBL.
