“Living Legends…….Leaving Legacies”. This was the theme of Bosco Fest’09, the inter-school fest organized by Don Bosco School, Park Circus on the 7th and 8th of August, 2009. With a total of 23 events(on & off stage), the fest began on the 7th. Our teachers in-charge were Sir Sukumar Mahapatra & Ma’am Alice Joseph. A total of 13 schools had been invited from all over Kolkata. All our participants gave their very best . DBL stood third in Bosco Jubilee Quiz-Juniors, 3rd in Bosco Itihaas and 3rd in Bosco Beat(Duet).
On the 8th of August DBL won a prize in 6 out of the11 events scheduled for the day. In the quiz for the seniors we stood third after losing in a tie-breaker to the host school, DBPC. We were 1st in Bosco Sudoku, 2nd in Bosco Craft and Bosco Thermod, 2nd in Bosco Raag (instrumental) and 1st in Bosco Tango (Western Dance). Although DBL didn’t win the overall winner’s trophy, our performance in every event was appreciated by all. The fest finally concluded with the vote of thanks by Father John, the Vice-Principal of DBPC. Then came the closing ceremony with excellent performances by the host school. The fest was well organized, with each and every aspect properly planned. It was an enriching experience for all.
