Don Bosco School Bandel, Hooghly had organized their annual school fest "Bosco XpreZns 2009", their theme being ’Phoenix Rising’ on the 14^th of August, on their school premises.  "Celebrate Redemption" was the song with which the show was inaugurated.  As a prelude to the Indian Independence Day, most of the events were oriented around India. The events included games like 4-pockets (Carrom), and XpreZns Open (table tennis) and items like Danza Oriental (eastern dance), InQuizzitive (Quiz based on India), Cometa Design (Kite Designing) and many more.  The show concluded a Guest Performance, a dance  and a band performance, both  conducted by their past-pupils.

Several schools from Kolkata, Howrah and Hooghly had participated in this event. Schools like DBPC, St. Joseph’s Convent Chandannagar, Auxillium Bandel, along with the host school were some of the participating schools. The schools participated with full jest and vigour but it was the host  school that bagged the overall winners prize, while DBL got the runners-up trophy.

Our boys performed  well and won in several events both in juniors as well as the seniors  category.
