RAVI AT DBL
“Through a dream at the age of nine, Little Johnny Bosco…” rang the nationally acclaimed, melodious and golden voice of “The Amul Star Voice Of India 2008”- RAVI SHUKLA, as he sang the school anthem of Don Bosco School, Liluah, in the afternoon assembly, at the school auditorium. After 7 years of separation from his alma mater, DBL, Ravi could not help but jubilate, after singing the school anthem brilliantly, without a pause or a fumble, on his visit to Don Bosco Liluah, on Tuesday 13th January 2009.
"When Sandeep Vyas (DBL alumnus and Ravi's senior who is also flourishing in the Indian music industry as a singer and composer) and Babul Suprio (another Don Bosco alumnus) would come to perform here, I used to envision myself in their place and I could visualize thousands of students cheering for me. Today I am feeling so good when I can finally see my dreams turning into a reality" said Ravi while addressing the students. He very humbly thanked Rev. Fr. Pathickal, Rev. Fr. Biji, all the teachers, and the students (who probably were still in a trance, after listening to Ravi sing, "Preet ki lat…" from the album Kailasa), for their constant support. His rendition included, "Pal" by K.K. and "Rock On!!!", which turned out to be the crowd's favourite.
"Don Bosco Liluah is the best platform where students can get a complete exposure of their talents, be it in academics, sports or in any other co-curricular activity. We have the best set of teachers in the world who always guide us in the right path. Whatever I am today is because of my parents, my teachers and my school DBL," accepted Ravi.
Before taking leave Ravi promised to come back to his school as soon as possible to render a complete concert for the students and once again humbly thanked everybody from DBL, for their support.
