‘Bon Voyage’ was the theme with which the Class 11 students of Don Bosco School, Liluah bade farewell to their seniors, the ISC Batch 2014-15.
The farewell programme commencing with the customary ‘Lighting of the Lamp’, included befitting messages from the Rector, Fr. Biji and the Principal of the institution Br. Jose. The three Class 12 class teachers too bid adieu to their respective classes through their speeches and Shoumorup Mukhopadhyay of Class 12 thanked all, on behalf of the boys of his class.
The stage for the programme emblematically had 5 cut-outs of boys, representing their growth at different stages, from when they entered the hallowed portals of their alma mater in KG till they step over its threshold. In their wish for a happy journey for their seniors, the Class 11 boys regaled them through their Western Band, Unconventional Music and Dance Troupes, while two symbolic videoes took them on an emotional trip of nostalgia.
Prithviraj of Class 12 in turn was a part of the song and unconventional music team and Shinjan Mitra and Akash Roy reminisced their days in school through a Voice Over. Father Biji and Brother Jose gave each boy of the outgoing batch a memento and the programme ended with a sumptuous high tea for boys, their parents and all present.
